What We Do

lake.jpg

The Cordova Lake Cottage Association (CLCA) is a not-for-profit organization run by a volunteer Board of Directors that works with cottagers and permanent residents since 2009. Many people feel that we have community obligation to join the CLCA, to help preserve Cordova Lake for future generations. This is undoubtedly because we all benefit from the CLCA lake stewardship, including but not limited to the following:

  • The flashing markers marking the above/underwater hazards and the buoys marking the river channel.

  • The testing of water quality through the Ontario Lake Partner Program.

  • The annual CLCA sponsored Regatta.

  • The informative CLCA newsletter emailed twice annually, plus posted on CLCA website.

  • The newly redesigned and informative CLCA website.

  • The CLCA support of the Cordova Lake Cottage Facebook Page.

  • The annual paid membership in the Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations (FOCA).

  • The annual purchase of CLCA Lake and Director’s Insurance.

  • The advocacy for waterfront property owners with like/associated organizations and government.
